NIVAR CYCLONE — FLOOD IMPACT

During Cyclone Nivar, I documented the impact of flooding on the everyday lives of people in Semmenjeri, Chennai. Through documentary photography, I captured how floodwaters disrupted daily routines, affected living conditions, and challenged the community's ability to carry on with normal life.

The project focused on the human experience of the disaster, using visual storytelling to record the realities faced by residents during the floods. Through these photographs, I sought to document the vulnerability of communities affected by extreme weather and preserve a visual account of how a natural disaster transforms everyday life.
