Artist Name: CheGu

I hail from a small village called Lalapet, located in the Karur district of Tamilnadu. For the last five years, I have been capturing stories that address social and environmental issues, as well as documenting compelling narratives in the field of film-making.

Some of my most notable works include a series on eviction across Tamil Nadu, and producing publicity visuals - including photography - for 'Kottukkaali (Adamant Girl)' by the Oscar-nominated filmmaker P.S. Vinothraj. The film was selected to be premiered at the 74th International Film Festival in Berlin.

Additionally, I have been teaching photojournalism to students for the past two years.
